Garry Lynn Howard

Garry Lynn Howard, 63, attorney, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013. Visitation with the family, 5-7 p.m., Sunday, June 16, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 17, West Heights United Methodist Church followed by entombment at 2 p.m. in Lakeview Mausoleum. Since 1981, Garry practiced law at Slape Howard, Chtd. In his legal practice he helped many vulnerable people. He had compassion for his clients experiences and served them well. Exploring new places was a passion. He planned a trip itinerary with a curiosity that guaranteed a way-better-than-average experience. One of his favorite vacation destinations was his condo in the mountains of New Mexico. He also enjoyed traveling with friends to many music concerts and festivals and was a founding member of The Wichita Blues Society. Garry was an avid WSU basketball fan; his family held seasons tickets since the first game played at Henry Levitt Arena. Preceded in death by parents, Allen and Ina Howard. Survivors: wife, Cindy; daughters, Annie Hutchinson (Dallas) of Wichita and Brett Howard of Overland Park; sister, Jeri Williamson (Paul) of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Lauryn and Carter; nephews, Scott and Michael McRee, and neice, Kelly McRee.
