Joe Eldon Howell

Joe Eldon Howell, 77, devoted husband, father, retired teacher and coach, God called him home on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Rosary, 7 p.m., Sunday, June 16; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Monday, June 17, both at Church of the Holy Spirit in Goddard. Joe was born May 3, 1936 in Larned, Kansas. He loved to travel and was able to accomplish his goal of visiting all 50 states and several countries. He was a member of the coffee club at the local restaurant, which included co-workers, family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Alvin and Rhoda; brother, Bob; granddaughter, Jill Hahn. Survivors: wife, Irene; children, Debbie Hahn (Terry), Shari Strawder, Kim Boline (Rob), Tammy Edwards (Dave), Jeff Howell (Maria), Curt Howell (Sandi Sanders) and Michelle Santillan (Jose); sisters, Eleanor McMinimy and Jayne Palmer; grandchildren, Chris Hahn (Cassie), Ashley Strawder (DJuan), Cody Strawder (Abby), Courtney Strawder (Josh), Brittney Harderson, Kalley Strawder, Erin Boline, Bailey Boline, Sam Edwards, Maggie Howell, Connor Howell, Colton Howell, Kaleb Howell, Jacob Howell, Max Santillan, Jack Santillan, Joe Santillan; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Allie, Trey, Tabitha, Tyleigh, Kyla, Keelyn and Emalyn.
