Service, 10 AM, Monday, June 19, 2006, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Graveside service, 2 PM, Monday, June 19, 2006, St. Marys Cemetery, Newton. Preceded in death by parents Edmond and Gertrude; brother, Dean; sister, Delores Peterson. Survivors: wife, Pat; children, Regina (Cecil) Arroyo of Derby, Ryan of Wichita, Barb (Nigel) Carlton of Elon College, NC, Karen (Brett) McAnulty of Newton, Mike (Sharon) of York, NE; sisters and brothers, Pat, Maribeth Peyton, Bill, all of Iowa, Clair Paul of South Carolina; 12 grandchildren. My dearest beautiful Pat, I’m writing this short note to express my truest heartfelt sorrow of Jerry’s passing to a heavenly place. Although your time together was too short, you alone told me how wonderful your marriage was and was well worth the wait to find each other. I will always have the fondest of memories of Jerry, his joining in on the ‘red alerts’ and his passion for laughter. Please know that I think of you often and you are in my prayers.
