  1. Dear Dawsons, What a grand lady and marvelous person. It was a pleasure and privilege to have spent great childhood years benefiting from her smile and, as I recall, fun-loving demeanor. Your parents were such good friends of my parents. Your mother, always ‘Betty Dawson,’ was a comfort and good friend of my mother after my father died, thus a comfort to all us kids. Recently my wife, formerly Marilyn Armstrong, and I visited the old Sleepy Hollow neighborhood. I pointed out the Dawson’s house and recalled how much fun we all had there. Your mother will be missed and always fondly remembered.
