Ermadee M. Busby

Ermadee M. Busby, age 86, wife and mother, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. Rosary, 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 16; Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, both at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (Schulte), 11000 Southwest Boulevard, Wichita, Kansas. Erma was the only child of Harley and Anna Shaw. She attended St. Patrick Catholic School and graduated from St. Mary Cathedral High School. Through a friend, she met the love of her life, Raymond Busby, and they were married. She was active in “Club” for over 50 years at her churches, St. Patrick, St. Jude and St. Francis, and at the Wichita Public Library. She enjoyed traveling, golf, water aerobics and book club. Erma loved to read and passed that love to her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Anna Shaw; husband, Raymond Busby, and son, Kirby Busby. Survivors: daughters, Ann Sanders, René Roy, Dana Bennett; sons, Michael (Sonya) Busby, Paul Busby; daughter-in-law, Cindy Busby; 16 grandchildren, Carrie (Kenyan) Jones, Joseph (Edith) Busby, Amy (Kevin) Martel, Sarah Sanders, Jessica (Markus) Ristich, Abby Miner, Hannah, Aaron and Samuel Roy, Dylan, Kartyre and Jayden Busby, Jacob (Kristen) and Clare Busby, Jason and Brian Metcalf; 13 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Marcus (Vanessa) and Justin Jones, Lindsey (Matthew) Neubauer, Sofia and David Busby, Madison Stout, Hunter Martel, Alexia, Isabelle and Ava Ristich, Sophia and Jack Navarro; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Izaak, Lilyana and Athena Jones.
