Wilma Berniece George

Wilma Berniece George, 94, passed away October 4, 2015. Wilma was born July 8, 1921 in Emporia, KS. She was trained as a cosmetologist and electrologist and for many years owned and operated the Electrolysis Clinic of Topeka. Wilma was a life member of Soroptimist International, President Emeritus of Kansas Association of Professional Electrologists and served on the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents, Joseph and Catherine Prchal, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Missing her are her son, Robert Jr. (Clara) and daughter, Patricia Miller (Edward), grandchildren, Brent Miller and Alyson Jantze (Christopher), five great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, Oct. 9, 1:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church with burial following in Emporia. Visitation with family will be Thurs., Oct. 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at Downing Lahey Mortuary West, 10515 W. Maple in Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Wilmas memory to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1750 N. Tyler Road, Wichita 67212.
