McGowan, John Thomas, 89, member of the Moose Club, representative of Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company and Personnel Director for Henrys Department Store, died Thursday, October 5, 2006. Visitation with the family 3:00 ~4:00 P.M., Sunday, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Service 10:00 A.M., Monday, All Saints Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Michaels Cemetery in Springfield, MA. Preceded in death by wife, Ameila Louise (Novelli) McGowan. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sheila A. and Jack D. Bowling of Derby; son, John Robert McGowan of Springfield, MA; grandchildren, Sean McGowan, Kevin McGowan, Mark McGowan, Katie McGowan, Jack A. Bowling, Stacey Bowling and Shannon Novotny; six great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society, 435 S. Broadway, S-100, Wichita, KS, 67202. Visitation with the family 3:00 ~4:00 P.M., Sunday, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Interment will be at St. Michaels Cemetery in Springfield, MA.
