Rose Ann Lindsey

Lindsey, Rose Ann, 73, died peacefully on March 3, 2013 after complications from brain surgery. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at Downing and Lahey East Chapel. Visitation with family begins at 10:30 A.M. Rose Ann was born in Wichita to Rose and William Kirkbright. She retired as successful buyer from Boeing which allowed her to travel widely in many countries and meet astronauts. As an avid reader, she was very proud of an idea which developed into a collaboration of several Wichita businesses to create the first Friends of the Wichita Library book bag. Preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her partner of 10 years, Mike Bieker; brother, David (Suzanne) Kirkbright; sisters, Kathleen (Tommy) Bates and Kerry Longwell; children Tonia (Randy) Rupe, Eureka, Carrie Lindsey, Lawrence, Audrey Phelps, Wichita; aunt, Sandra Gary and many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was most proud of her grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Jude (Cari) Reazin and their sons Jordan and Jayden, Louie (Amanda) Gegenhubur, Max Gomez, Nathan Lindsey, Anna Munzinger, Alex, Zach and Trey Phelps.
