Lucy Graves Davis

Davis, Lucy Graves, 93, born in Coweta OK January.21, 1913 to Frank Graves and Ida Stemmons Graves, passed away October. 7, 2006 in Wichita after a brief illness. She grew up in and around Whitewater KS and married Earlden Davis in Whitewater in 1937. She was formerly a Wichita Public School teacher and volunteered many years for Meals-on-Wheels and the American Red Cross. She belonged to the KS and Wichita Retired Teachers Assns. and the Prairie Quilt Guild. She was very active in United Methodist Women, College Hill United Methodist Church and the Silver Link Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband Earlden Davis, brother Wilbur Graves and sister Frances Skinner. Surviving children are Elaine Fertig (Stan), Saegertown, PA, Sharon Kessler (Tom), Wichita, Gordon Davis (Julie McCarthy), Aurora, CO and Roger Davis (Julie Wolfarth), N. Canton, OH; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation at Downing Lahey Mortuary East, 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, October 11. Funeral at College Hill United Methodist Church 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 12. Memorial contributions to College Hill United Methodist Church. Visitation at Downing Lahey Mortuary East, 5-7 P.M.
