Lyle Brooks, M.D.

Brooks, M.D. Lyle W. 74, Family Practice Medical Doctor, died Saturday, June 20, 2015. Dr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Wendell Brooks and Bertha Agnes Jones; brother, Wayne Wendell Brooks; sister, Wilma Jeanne White. He is survived by his wife, Sheila B Brooks, of Wichita, KS; daughters, Valori Kruse, of Wichita, and Laci Webb (Don), of Edmond, OK; brother, Glenn Paul Brooks, of Edmond, OK; along with five grandchildren. Dr. Brooks was born in Sulphur, OK graduate of Sulphur High in 1958, Okla Christian College and Abilene Christian Univ. in 1963, OU Medical School in 1969. He did his residency at Wesley in Wichita 1969-72. He practiced medicine in Edmond, OK for 15 years and Wichita, KS for 26 years. He loved his family, golf and books. Soft spoken, thoughtful and loved by family, friends and patients. Viewing 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday with the family present 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research, Grand Central Station, P.O.
