Maxim "Max" Angeron, 74, passed away March 6th, 2018. "My favorite people call me Pop." Dearly loved by Judy, his wife of almost 50 years; daughters, Natalie (Carlo) Mentina, Betsy (Bo) Bellinger, Erin (Brian) Duke, Megan (Ryan) Robertson, Katy (Marcos) Montemayor; and grandchildren, Linus and Gus Mentina, Camille and Cabrini Bellinger, Brody and Jolie Duke, Lucy and George Robertson, and Tony, Sophie, Lexi, Samantha, Aubrey, and Isabella Montemayor. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bessie Angeron; and siblings, Ivy Angeron and Martha Saujon. Survived by siblings, Gladys Bailey, Gaydel Childress, David Angeron, Herschell Angeron, and Polly Klein. He will be remembered for his deep curiosity and brilliant understanding of science and nature. He spared no expense making seafood gumbo for his family and friends honoring his Cajun heritage. Growing up on the bayous of Southern Louisiana, serving in the Air Force in Vietnam, a long career as an Industrial Engineer at Cessna, and finally a beloved grandpa, he always had a fascinating story to tell. As the father of five girls, he enjoyed many hobbies in his garage retreat including creating stained glass lamps, studying quantum physics, stargazing, gardening, bird watching, and slowly restoring his 1953 MG TD. Rosary is 7 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2018 and the Funeral Mass is 10 am, Friday, March 9, 2018, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
