Juanita Antonia DeAnda Upton

Upton, Juanita Antonia DeAnda, 72, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, October 10th at 7:45 A.M. Juanita was born in Lyons, KS on March 8, 1933. She was a long-time resident of Wichita. Juanita retired from St. Francis Hospital, where she worked as a nurses aide. She was also employed by Catholic Charities. Preceded in death by parents, Cipriano and Sabina DeAnda, sister, Blasa Espinoza and grandson, Carlos Solis. Survivors: former husband, Myron Upton; daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Vincent Solis of Newkirk, OK, Diana and Kurt Walterscheid and Dolores Solis, all of Wichita; sons and daughter-in-law, James and Cindy Upton of Prairie Village, KS and Philip Upton of Wichita; grandchildren, Jennifer Torres, Delano Solis, Anthony Solis, Daniel Solis, Camille Edwards, Valentine Solis, Chris Upton, Patrick Upton, Tiffany Upton, Chantal Hernandez, Kimberly Walterscheid, Krystle Davila, Mani Ah-San, Philip Upton, Jr., Carolina Hernandez, Brooke Upton and Taylor Upton; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lupe Morales and Mary Martinez, all of Wichita; brother, Manuel DeAnda of Chicago, IL. Rosary 6:30 P.M., Thursday, October 13, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Mass 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 14, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
