Maxine Winifred Pullman

Pullman, Maxine Winifred, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011. Services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 10:00 a.m. at the University Congregational Church. Born in Oatville, KS, Maxine grew up in Dodge City, and graduated from Wesley Hospital School of Nursing. Her nursing career spanned 40 years with breaks when the children were young and later to care for her invalid parents. Her avocation was looking after others. Her many interests included gardening, travel, volunteering, reading and bridge. Preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Richardson and stepson, Norman Pullman, Jr. Survivors: husband, Norman Pullman, son, Gene (Marice) Richardson, daughter, Joan (Rod) Barrigar, stepsons, Terry (Patty) Pullman, Edward Pullman and grandchildren, Greg Pennington, Michael Appel, Marni Dutcher, Blair Pullman and Shane Pullman. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Guadalupe Clinic, 940 S. St. Francis, Wichita, KS 67211 and the Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke, Wichita, KS, 67208.
