David W. Goldschmidt

Goldschmidt, David W., 78, passed away, Tues., June 23, 2009. Service 2 P.M., Thurs., June 25, Congregation Emanu-El. David married Annette Solomon April 27, 1952 in Abilene, TX. He worked for Henrys for over 40 years, retiring as CEO. David was a member of Congregation Emanu-El, serving as Brotherhood President, 1962-1963. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National MS Society, 1983-1985 and was also a board member of Goodwill Industries. David enjoyed being a member of the Sports Car Club of America for 25 years. He loved New Orleans jazz, fast cars and was a huge KU basketball fan. Preceded in death by his wife, Annette and parents, Samuel Edith Goldschmidt. Survivors: son, Larry Phyllis Goldschmidt of Knoxville, IA; daughter, Kay G. Craig Martin of Prairie Village, KS; brother, Dan Goldschmidt of Columbia, MO and Dr. Robert Goldschmidt of Cape Cod, MA; grandchildren, Jordan Marshall Goldschmidt and Derek Robert Martin; 7 great-grandchildren.
