Pfender, James “Jim,” 49, Aircraft Final Assembler with Hawker Beechcraft, died Monday, June 23, 2014. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 27, 2014, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. At Jims request, wear your fishin clothes. Preceded in death by his father, Larry Kimble Pfender; grandparents, Charles and Mina Pfender, Estelle Miller and John Harboldt. Survived by his mother, Jama R. Carlton of Wichita, KS; step-father and spouse, Jack and Norma Carlton of Wichita; brother, John Pfender of Atlanta, GA; former wife and friend, Michele Pfender of Wichita; special friend, Amy Morrell of Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 North Hillside, Wichita, Kansas, 67219.
