Leonard Jr. Lawson

Leonard Lawson, Jr., 87, retired P.S. 259 Industrial Arts teacher, passed away Wed., June 24, 2009. Graveside service 10:00 a.m., Tues., June 30, Andover Cemetery, 21st and Andover Rd. Leonard served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army and was a member of University United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard Floyd and Emmabell Lawson, and wife Erma (Cobb) Lawson. Survivors include son, Leonard Paul Lawson and daughter, Sharry Gettings, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Amy James of Castle Rock, CO, Leslie Wells of Bixby, OK, Stacy Gettings and Brian Gettings, both of Wichita, and 9 great-grandchildren.
