Valerie B. Davis

Davis, Valerie B., 91, loving wife, devoted mother and homemaker, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010. Private family services will be held. Valerie was a secretary to the Commanding Officer of the B-17 Base in Dyersburg, TN, where she met her husband of 66 years, Richard. She worked as a volunteer for the Junior League of Wichita and the Wichita Art Museum and was a member of East Heights United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stephen Davis, Sr. Survivors: daughter, Donna Burke of Aurora, CO; son, Richard S. Davis, Jr. of Wichita; grandchildren, Lauren and Chase; one great-grandchild. Memorials established with the Wichita Childrens Home, 810 N. Holyoke, Wichita, KS, 67208. Private family services will be held.
