Shogren, Francine “Franny” DeSocio, 56, Travel Agent for Pizza Hut, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 of Multiple Sclerosis. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Wichita Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her parents John and Rose DeSocio. Survivors include her children Jeffrey DeSocio Shogren, Cory Rose Shogren; brothers, John James (Janiece) DeSocio, Jr., Frank (Cathy) DeSocio; sister, Angela (Jim) Ray and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Wichita Church of Christ, 4100 W. Memory Lane, Wichita, Kansas 67212. Downing and Lahey East Mortuary.

Cory and Jeff, I am so sorry about your mom. I loved getting to know her the year you were in first grade, Cory. She was always so upbeat and positive and fun and I admired her a lot. I thought she was a wonderful mother. I am thinking about you.
I worked with Frannie when she was a student assistant in the University Relations office at Wichita State University. Despite her disability and single mom status, she was positive, brave and such a delight to our office! I’ll never forget her laugh. I had lost touch with her over the years, but a small part of her has stayed with me.
Jim and Angie: I know this has been a long road and struggle for you and Fran. Fran is at peace now. Her journey here on earth is complete. Please know that Fran and your family are in my prayers.
