Betty J. Stimson

Betty J. Stimson, 94, went to be with her Lord on June 24, 2017. She passed peacefully at her home in Andover, KS surrounded by her family. She was born Betty Jean McKain on June 1, 1923 to Leo and Minnie McKain of Miltonvale, KS. She attended St. Marys School of Nursing in Manhattan, KS, and worked as an RN at hospitals in Concordia, Clay Center, and Wichita. She was married for 70 years to the love of her life, Robert E. Stimson, also from Miltonvale, KS. Together they enjoyed their lake property, fishing, and spending time working together in their yard. Betty loved to garden and took great pride in her flowers and her home. She is survived by her children, Anita (Steve) Saindon, Doug Stimson, Craig (Rosie) Stimson; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; sons, Larry Dean Stimson and John David Stimson; her parents; three brothers; a sister; and a great-granddaughter. Services and celebration of Bettys life will be held at Riverwalk Church of Christ, 225 N. Waco in Wichita, at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, June 29, 2017.
