Kelsey, Ruby, 98, retired 30 year Penneys associate, died Saturday, October 13, 2007. Visitation with family 2:00 ~ 3:00 P.M., Friday, October 19 and service 3:00 P.M., Friday, both at University United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Everett Kelsey, daughter, Virginia Holzman, brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Haines, Imo, Ethel and Marie. Survivors: daughter, Betty and Ed Arzinger of Park City; son-in-law, Bill Holzman of Mountlake Terrace, WA; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202 and University United Methodist Church, 2220 N. Yale, Wichita, KS, 67220. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

Betty, there is nothing more special than a mother’s love and she loved you and Virgina with all her heart. Aunt Ruby had unconditional love for all of her family. She was viciously protective of her family even her baby brother when he was 80 years old. I loved her because she was a strong woman in adversity, independent, and a confident woman. Aunt Ruby had some wonderful characterics that I cherish. She was truely a Wendell. ( don’t laugh) Take Care
