Frederic William Shelton Fritz Jr.

Shelton, Jr., Frederic William “Fritz”, 83, retired petroleum engineer, passed away October 13, 2009. Memorial service, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 21, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. At age 17, Fritz joined the Navy. After his service, he graduated from KU. He was a member of Beta Theta Phi fraternity. Fritz was president of KIOGA from 1975-1977. Preceded in death by first wife, Shirley. Survivors: wife, Kathleen; children, Sallie Strole (Dennis), Amy Cole, Bruce Shelton (Jamie); brothers, William Shelton (Jean), John Shelton; sister, Katherine Jones (Robin); grandchildren, Sarah and Corey Shelton; sister-in-law, Marilyn Mayer.
