Sharon Belknap

Sharon Belknap passed away June 25, 2016. Sharon loved God, her family, and her friends. Her family consisted of her beloved husband, Jim, now deceased, who she was married to for 63 years; sons, Kevin ( Debbie) and Keith (Nancy); daughters, Kaye McKee (Kent) and Kathy Trent; 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Sharon was born in Tulsa, OK, on October 14, 1935, and later moved to Iola, KS, where she met, fell in love with, and married Jim Belknap. She spent the next 63 years caring for her family and enriching the lives of her many friends. She was a PTA president, Vacation Bible School teacher, Girl Scout leader, translated books into Braille, worked for many years at Glidden Paint, volunteered at Victory In The Valley cancer support center, and was involved in her community in numerous other capacities. To her family, she remains the shining example of how to love and care for family and friends and will be honored to the end of our days. Visitation, 12 noon; service, 1 p.m., both Saturday, July 2 at Pathway Church. Downing & Lahey West.
