Dorothy Mae "Dottie" McMillan, 88, artist and owner and operator of Garden Optical, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. Visitation with the family present, 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 29; Funeral service, 2 p.m., Thursday, June 30, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Burial will be in Brownell, KS. Dottie was preceded in death by parents, Hamilton Henry Efram Jones and Iva Marie (Ramsey) Jones; husband, Wayne Eugene McMillan, Sr.; son-in-law, Stephen Lovato; sisters, Marjorie Hendricks and Ann Snow. Survivors: daughter, Cherry L. Lovato of Wichita; son, Wayne E. McMillan, Jr. (Barbara) of Haysville; grandchildren, Amber DiNapoli (Steven) and Caleb McMillan; 6 great-grandchildren.
