  1. Fair winds and following seas sailor. “Boatswain… Standby to pipe the side… Shipmate’s going Ashore…” Thank you for your service to this nation.

  2. I knew Don when we worked togeter at the KC MEPS. He was an outstanding young man whom you should be proud. He loved what he did and proud to serve his country. God bless, and you are all in my prayers.

  3. To the family of Donald Cooke, my deepest sympathies. I was honored to have served with Don on board USS Rodney M Davis (FFG 60). May God comfort you during this time. He was a good shipmate, but above all, a good friend. Stephen R. Ranne, LT, USN(RET)

  4. Donald was a student of mine at Metro Blvd (likewise, Jim). I am so deeply sad to learn of his death. I was always so grateful to have known him; he was so easy and fun to work with, always so kind-hearted and respectful. I pray that the strength of faith and family will carry you through this darkness and sorrow. Please know that I will keep him in my own heart my whole life. Prayerfully and lovingly, Tracy

  5. Carolyn and Family, May God bless you with courage to bear the sorrow you feel.May your hearts find peace and comfort in the Lord. The Lord’s Diner Staff
