Orth, Ruth M. (Eby), former Montessori Preschool teacher, farm wife and community volunteer, died Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born October 12, 1917, in Greenwood, MO. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Orth. Survivors include children, Betty (Darryl) Roberts of Wichita, James (Cherie) Orth of Council Grove, KS and Nancy (Joseph) Kaiser of Winter Park, FL; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Sunflower Lane, c/o Larksfield Place in Wichita, where she received exceptional, loving care. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, at the Methodist Church in Humboldt, KS. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

I remember Ruth as one of Dorothy Austin’s, my mother, dearest friends at Larksfield. Mother very much enjoyed Ruth’s company as they were ‘neighbors’ there. Ruth was such a kind, thoughtful, resilient woman. Ann Stevenson
Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. There is a void that cannot be replace. The life insurance we buy is really preparation for death. But the life insurance Jehovah God offers is the destroying of death itself and all the things we can think of that causes it. He will do this through His Kingdom that His Son Jesus Christ is King of. We can gain comfort now through the Bible. And in the very near future we will hold our love ones again. We all will live happy healthy lives forever in exquisite delight and in an abundance of peace here on earth.
