McGehee, Alice Elizabeth “Betty” (Wynn), 84, died Saturday, March 14, 2015. Betty was born in Wichita, but was raised in Copeland, KS. She received her Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Southwestern College, and MS in Music from Kansas State University. She was a public school music teacher in Sterling, Peabody, and the Wichita area. She was married to Richard McGehee for 57 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church over 55 years. She was a member and officer in numerous heredity societies; this includes Honorary Vice President General of the National Society of the Daughters of The American Revolution and of the National Society of the Daughters of American Colonists. Visitation with the Family will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral service will be at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2015, at First United Methodist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Wynn; brother, John Wynn; sister, Mary Jean Wynn. She is survived by her husband, Richard C. McGehee, of Wichita, KS; daughter, Gayle McGehee Baldwin (Curtis), of Scottsdale, AZ; sons, Bruce (DeAnna), of New Albany, MS, Steven (Deanne), of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Cal, Caroline, Catherine, Ethan, Annabelle. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with First United Methodist Church TV Ministry, 330 North Broadway, Wichita, Kansas, 67202, and John T. and Gladys Wynn Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Southwestern College, 100 College St., Winfield, Kansas, 67156.
