Grace Fanara

Grace Fanara (Pupillo) passed away on June 28, 2015 in Wichita, Kansas. Grace was born on March 16, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to Fribonia and Benedetto Pupillo. On May 28, 1949 she married Anthony Fanara and they had four children. In 1959, they built their family home in Roseville, Michigan, where they lived until 2009. Grace was a professional freelance sign painter for many years, and this was more than a job for her as she truly enjoyed this art form. She also baked and decorated cakes professionally. Her biggest fan was her husband Tony, who loved her chocolate cakes best of all. Grace enjoyed singing, sketching, and caring for her family. She was well known for her generous, hospitable spirit, and always wanted to feed her guests, whether they were hungry or not! Above all else, she was very devoted to her God Jehovah and enjoyed talking about him to others. Grace was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Mary (the late Pete) DePetris, Antoinette (late Joseph) Peraino, Virginia (the late Dominic) Zottolo; her beloved daughters, Stella Hill and Fay Askew. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Anthony Fanara, her sister Ann (the late Luigi) Meli, and brother Sam (Cathy) Pupillo; son, Paul (Linda) Fanara of Wichita, KS, son, Ben (Dori) Fanara of Fleming Island, FL; grandchildren, Nadrina (Troy) Walker, Rachel (Joshua) Davis, Naaman Fitzhenry, Ruth (Rick) Wesolowski, Naramas (Stacy) Fitzhenry, Rebecca (Joel) Garner, Macey (Ashton) Lloyd, Ashley Fanara, Brittany Fanara, Chloe Fanara; great grandchildren, Hannah, Libby, Bryce, Cecily, Isaac.
