LuRell “Bill” Wood, 88, retired businessman from Kinsley, Kansas, who had resided at Dove Estates in Goddard, Kansas, since 2017, went to be with Jesus, Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Church of the Holy Spirit in Goddard, Kansas. Preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Elizabeth Wood; sister, Beatrice Davis; brother, Frances “Red” Wood; wife, Joanna G. Wood, and daughter, Linda Wood. Survived by his wife, Joan of Dove Estates; daughter, Valerie (Joe) Rainman of Garden City; nephews, Michael (Dorothy) Wood and Glenn Patrick Wood of San Antonio, TX; niece, Michelle Wood of Santa Fe, NM, and 3 great-nieces and nephews. Flowers may be sent to Downing & Lahey Mortuary West in Wichita. Memorials may be sent to Sanctuary of Hope, 30665 US-281, Bulverde, TX 78163.
