John Henry Tasset, Sr.

Tasset, John H., 82, well-known residential designer went to rest with the Lord Saturday, March 16, 2013. John passed away peacefully at Fountainview Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Rose Hill, Kansas. Rosary is 6:00p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Downing Lahey East Chapel. Funeral mass is 10:00a.m., Wednesday, March 20, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. John was born in Spearville, Kansas, to Harry and Eveline Tasset. He has many hobbies, including model building and auto racing, but first and foremost his passion was golf, in which he had three recorded holes in one. John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Lois; sons, James Tasset and Richard Lemoyne Tasset; and was the last surviving sibling of eight. John is survived by his children, Geri M. (Ed) Bernard and John H. (Kristy) Tasset, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Robyn Tasset Fritz; grandchildren, Danielle (Brent) Culver, Christina Tasset, Jay Bernard, and Carrie (Brandon) Stanley; and four great-grandchildren. He was well-loved and will be missed by the community and his family. The Tasset children would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Fountainview Nursing Rehabilitation Center, and Carriage House Assisted Living for their excellent and loving care of both parents while they were residents and to Rivercross Hospice for assistance with his care in his final days.
