Rose M. Phannenstiel

BENTON - Phannenstiel, Rose M., age 91, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. She was born January 11, 1923 in Victoria, Kansas to Anthony J. and Rosa (Dreiling) Pfeifer. She married Edward Phannenstiel on January 27, 1941. She worked at the Petroleum Club for 29 years; before that time she also worked at the American Legion and Country Club at Salina. Survivors include one brother, Robert A. Pfeifer of Hays; three sisters, Esther Maher of Great Bend, Albertine Rajewski and Wilma (Regis) VonLintel of Victoria; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Walters and Velma Phannenstiel of Hays; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Phannenstiel; her parents; four brothers, Herbert, Edmund, Alphonse, and Wilfred Pfeifer; one sister, Angeline Kaltenbach. Vigil will be at 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, October 21, 2014; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 22, 2014, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover, KS. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 123 N. Andover Rd., Andover, KS 67002.
