James W. Fulghum

Fulghum, James W. 88, died Saturday, October 17, 2015. Memorial Service at 10 AM, Thursday, October 22, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. James Wiley Fulghum was born on December 19, 1926 to Bernice H. and Marshall W. Fulghum in Winfield, KS. He graduated from Winfield High School in May 1944. He served in the Air Force in WWII and in the Korean War. He attended Oklahoma State College and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1949. He worked as an engineer for the Kansas Highway Department for one year and for Boeing for 34 years. He and Janibeth S. Haskin were married on October 17, 1953 in the Grace Presbyterian Church in Wichita. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janibeth; parents; and brother. He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Ed) Kaczocha; Jean (the late Raymond) Peat; son, Joel (Kimberly) Fulghum; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kaczocha, Nathaniel Peat, Nicholas and Abigail Fulghum; step-grandchildren, Keith, Julia, and Ken Kaczocha; 7 great-grandchildren.
