Richard Lappin

Richard Lappin, 86, engineer, died Saturday, July 1, 2017. Memorial service, 11 a.m., Thursday, August 3, St. Andrews Lutheran Church. Inurnment, Friday, August 4, in Alexander Cemetery, Alexander, KS. Richard graduated from Fort Hays State University after which he joined the Air Force for 4 years. He loved traveling in his RV, racking up many miles traveled, was an avid golfer and an excellent woodworker and woodturner. Preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Rose Lappin; brother, Myrl Lappin. Survived by his wife, Marsha Lappin; children, Randall (Diane) Blackburn-Lappin, Kathleen (Larry) Fournier, Bryan (Cathy) Lappin; grandchildren, Thomas and Rose Lappin; step-grandchildren, Craig Fournier, Crystal (Devin) Hurley. A memorial has been established with St Andrews Lutheran Church, 2555 N. Hyacinth Ln., Wichita, KS 67204. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
