Sullivan, Gloria J., 88, died Sunday, July 3, 2011. The Rosary will be said at 7 p.m., Friday, July 8 and the Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover, KS. Burial will be Monday, July 11, at the St. Marys Cemetery, Storm Lake, IA. Gloria was born July 29, 1922, in Appleton, MN. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gloria was very involved in multiple, ongoing St. Vincent de Paul activities and was instrumental in the development of the Heart Hands Organization in Andover. She loved working in her garden, writing poems, quilting and genealogy. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward J. Sullivan, Sr., daughter, Kathleen, parents, Myrtle and Harry Smith and sisters, Shirley Belseth and Marilyn Boxrud. Survivors include brother, Darrell Smith of St. Paul, MN, sons, Edward J. Sullivan, Jr., (Judy) of Wichita, Timothy B. Sullivan (Marcella) of Woodland Park, CO, Michael T. Sullivan ( Kathryn) of Wichita, and daughter, Mary L. Flatt (John) of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren residing across America. A memorial has been established with St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 123 N. Andover Rd., Andover, KS, 67002.
