Genevieve Steiner

Genevieve Steiner, 95, died Saturday, October 21, 2017. Rosary will be at 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, October 25; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 26, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. George and Genevieve Steiner were married November 24, 1941 at St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen, KS. The Reverend Msgr. John M. Shlenan and Rev. Emil J. Kapaun were co-celebrants. Genevieve retired from First National Bank in Wichita (now Intrust Bank) in 1992. Genevieve was an excellent seamstress, making all of her daughters clothes. She enjoyed traveling with her family over the years. She helped with secretarial work at St. Thomas Aquinas and was the Eucharistic minister scheduler. She was a loving and devoted mother. Preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Thomas and Mary Spachek; brothers, John, Andrew, and Victor Spachek. Survived by her daughters, Regina Keller of South Pasadena, CA and Marilyn (Marcel) Tajchman of Wichita; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
