Lawrence Paul Andra, retired attorney, died October 22, 2015, in Wichita, Kansas. Larry was born July 20, 1928, in Wichita. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Anna (Diefenbach) Andra; six brothers, Sylvester, John, Wilfred, Edward, Elmer, and Jerome, and four sisters, Clara Walterscheidt, Catherine Kessler, Florence Becker, and Lucille Schauf. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice (Weltz) Andra; three children, Jeanne M. Cranford, Darien, Connecticut, John L. Andra, Lawrence, Kansas, and Susan M. Johnson, Fleming Island, Florida; three grandchildren, Anna, Charles, and Alan Johnson, and many nephews and nieces. Larry was a graduate of Kansas State University and Washburn University School of Law. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant. He was a great story teller and never knew a stranger. Larry was also well-known for his many travels in Model A Ford automobiles. A Rosary will be recited at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi on Wednesday, October, 28, at 10:30 a.m., followed by entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Diocese of Wichita Retired Priest and Seminarian Fund or Guadalupe Clinic. Downing Lahey West.
