Dorothy H. Ream

Dorothy H. Ream, 91, devoted mother of five, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 22, 2016. Visitation with Dorothys family will be from 6:00 -8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her Son, William Langenwalter; Parents, Arthur and Flora Hodgson; Brother, Donald Hodgson. Survived by her Husband, Robert “Bob” Ream; Daughters, Nancy Lynch of Columbia, SC, Betsy (Harris) Rayl of Kansas City, MO, Wendy Thompson of Wichita, KS; Son, Peter (Sarah) Langenwalter of Winfield, KS; Step-son, Brad Ream of Wichita, KS; Grandchildren, Kim Patterson, Tara Lynch, Kelsey Ravindran, Scott McCroskey, Spencer McCroskey, Connor McCroskey, Hannah James, Thomas Langenwalter, Will Langenwalter, Matthew Millsap, Dan Millsap, James Thompson; 13 Great-Grandchildren. Dorothy was very involved in the Wichita community, serving it in many capacities. Her local involvement included donating her time and resources to Delta Gamma Sorority, EW Chapter of PEO, Music Theatre, Wichita Symphony, the Ronald McDonald House, the Sedgwick County Historical Museum Gift Shop, Girl Scouts, Eastminster Chancel Choir, Junior League of Wichita, Wesley Gift Shop, the Wichita Art Museum, and tutoring at Adams School.
