Charles Andy Anderson

Anderson, Charles “Andy,” 80, former IBM Executive, died Friday, July 5, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 12, 2013, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. He was born June 8, 1933 in Oakland, CA. He was a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was with IBM for 31 years until his retirement in Wichita. He then served his community on the Board of the East Wichita Rotary Club, the Wichita Childrens Home, Alzheimers Association, and Music Theater. Andy was a great “Sports Fan” and avid golfer. He is preceded in death by son, Mike Anderson; brother, Jon Anderson; and parents, William and Mary (Matthews) Anderson. He is survived by his children, Bill Anderson, Bob (Davida) Anderson, Carol (Cliff) Webb; grandchildren, Alanna Anderson, Cheri Anderson, C.R. (Phyllis) Webb, Jr., Cody Webb; great-grandchildren, Steven Banks and Caylin Webb; sister, Marilyn Nolen. And special thanks to former wife and caregiver, Carolyn Wooldridge.
