Valerie Kaye Weatherby

Valerie Kaye Weatherby, 43, was born September 20, 1969 and left this world much too early on July 8, 2013. She danced into heaven, entertaining all that have gone before her, just like she had entertained her family and friends many times before. Valerie is survived by her mother, Vicki Morgan (Michael); father, John Weatherby (Joan); son, Zachary Weatherby (Racquel); daughter, Kaylee Weatherby, and grandmother, Murdene Weatherby. She is also survived by Barb Taber; her brother, Ryan Weatherby (Kinsey); sisters, Lindsay Weatherby and Kelli Carpenter (Nick). Valerie was also a second mom to Brittany, Kaleb and Jacob Taber. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved their “Aunt Val”. She was preceded in death by Diane Rainbolt; grandmother, Nadine Manning; grandfathers, Gene Manning and Ed Weatherby; uncle, Eddie Webber, and cousin, Luke Kraus. Valerie had a strong work ethic and loved her job as Supervisor at Hawker Beechcraft Service Center. She cared about her employees and earned their respect and love as a caring supervisor. Her fun personality will be missed by her family and friends. A visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 14 at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 15 at Grace Baptist Church. A memorial has been establlished with Vals Hope, c/o Grace Baptist Church, 1414 W. Pawnee, Wichita, KS 67213.
