Robert Clinger

Clinger, Robert “Bob,” 66, died unexpectedly October 28, in his home. Bob was retired from the Wichita Eagle and continued a second career with Morris Communications in Augusta, GA. Bob returned to his home in Wichita in 2009 to enjoy his retirement years. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and was active in community and neighborhood organizations, especially the YMCA. Survived by: son, Kenneth and wife Misty of Morrison, OK; stepson, Sean and wife Stephanie Evans of Nashville, TN; sister, Lynda and husband Kim Penner of Andover. Five grandchildren, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will all miss his humor, spirit, and positive approach to life. Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 2, 2012, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: YMCA “Strong Kids Program,” 1115 E. US 54, Andover, KS 67002.
