Preceded by first wife, Elsie Holcombe; second wife, Innocent Mitchell; stepsons, Jim and Larry Davis; parents, Emert and Roxie Mitchell; brother, Jerry Mitchell; sisters, Doris Vasquez, Sue Davidson; daughter, Debbie Mitchell; great-grandson, Jeronimo Acosta. Survived by daughter, Diane Acosta; son, Steve (Cathy) Mitchell; brothers, Sherlock Mitchell, Clarence Mitchell, Jackie (Pam) Mitchell, Rocky Mitchell; sister, Doreen (Troy) Rogers; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
