Hai Bui, 62, passed away from an aneurism on February 13, 2020. He was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and had lived in Wichita, Kansas, since 1980. On June 19, 1982, he married Thanh-Tam Bui and they had five beautiful children. Hai enjoyed fishing and mechanics. Survivors include his wife, Thanh-Tam Bui; 4 sons, Joseph Vu (Kaylee) Bui, Frank Trinh (Hayly) Bui, Christopher Van Bui and Nicholas Hoa Bui; daughter, Theresa Mai-Linh Bui; 2 sisters, Loan Bui and Huong Bui; 6 brothers, Ruan Bui, Kim Bui, Hung Bui, Dung Bui, Minh Bui and Quang Bui; grandchildren, Archer Huy Khanh Bui and Aaliyah Nhi Nguyen. Hai was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 older brother, Ruan Bui. Rosaries in Vietnamese will be held at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West at 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, and 6 p.m., Thursday, February 20. A Rosary in English will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Friday, February 21, at 6:45 p.m. followed by a Rosary in Vietnamese at 7:15 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 22, also at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.   1. I worked with Hai Bui for about 5 years. One of the best people and characters I have ever met. Last time I talked to him was at Christmas on text message wishing him a Merry Christmas.. we reminisced about old times. He created the frankenbui machine we used a lot at SFA and I’m sure they still do. He could fix anything. He loved to fix stuff even when he seemed mad about it he really wasn’t lol. So many memories of Hai Bui. Always singing and whistling in the hallways telling himself to shutup lol. I’ll miss you Hai. Rest in peace my friend. Your friend Tyler Whitley
