John Estle Kelso

John Estle Kelso, 93, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Memorial Service, 2 p.m., Sunday, July 16, First United Methodist Church Chapel. John was born in Marceline, Missouri to the late Warner and Beulah Kelso. He retired from the State of Kansas in December of 1992. John was a World War II veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre, and awarded the Bronze Star in the Battle of Bougainville. John married Betty J. King on March 10, 1947. The marriage dissolved in 1975. He married Sallie A. Bailey on November 10, 1979. Also preceding John in death was son, Christopher; 1 granddaughter; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include wife, Sallie of the home; daughter, Jan “Kim” (Alan) Sikorsky of Moose Jaw, Canada; son, J. Kevin of Wichita; stepson, Brant (Deana) Bailey of Bozeman, MT; 3 granddaughters; 6 great-granddaughters; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.
