Geraldine B. McCarthy

McCarthy, Geraldine B., 77, of San Francisco, California, formerly of Wichita, passed away on March 30, 2007. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 21 at Church of the Magdalen. Burial 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Cemetery. Geraldine was born in Wichita, Kansas on August 20, 1929, to Jeremiah J. McCarthy and Blanche Ruse McCarthy. She was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Cathedral High School and attended Mount St. Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas. She served seven years in the Army Special Services in Germany, before returning to Wichita, where she worked for Wichita Area Girl Scouts. Geraldine moved to San Francisco where she worked for a law firm for over 29 years. She is survived by her sister, Carlene Dunn of Wichita, brothers-in-law, Loren Furtado of Orinda, CA and Britt Brown of Wichita, sisters-in-law, Margaret McCarthy and Cathleen McCarthy, both of Wichita, and 18 nieces and nephews.
