William F. Beitz

William F. Beitz 81, of Wichita, KS, passed away at his home, Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born in Hoisington, KS on February 6, 1937, the son of Fritz and Thelma Beitz. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in the aircraft industry for 35 years, retiring in 2002 from Bombardier (Learjet). Bill was a Master Mason, Lodge #86 and a chartered member of the Optimist Club in Mulvane. Preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Carol Bentz. Survivors include his wife, Marvel; daughters, Kimberly Crain of Oklahoma City, Cheryl McWhitney of Winfield; step-daughter, Shelly (Jim) Tittel of Wichita; step-son, Mark Roelfs of Bentley; sister, Betty Hosler of Wichita; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Private family burial. Memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing and Lahey West Mortuary.
