Sue A. Ziegler

Ziegler, Sue A., 69, sweet wife and beloved mother and grandmother, passed from us and into the hands of God our Savior on April 1, 2005. Sue was born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 30, 1936 and, following studies at Ohio State University, was employed by Ohio Bell Telephone until 1969. Married on January 27, 1968, to Richard L. Ziegler, a career military officer, she traveled extensively within Europe and the United States. She moved to Wichita in 1989. Sue enjoyed her grandchildren, ocean cruising, and collecting. She was active in the River City Ladies Club and very much enjoyed club activities. Sue is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Kevin Layland of Wichita; grandchildren Jacob, 6, Misty, 5, and Amber, 2; and sister Donna, Orwell, Ohio. Memorial services to be held Tuesday, April 5, 1:00 p.m., Downing Lahey Funeral Home West Chapel, 10515 West Maple, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202. Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2005.
