Marilyn Ruth Nickel

Marilyn Ruth Nickel, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Graveside service, 10 a.m., Monday, July 22, Lorraine Cemetery, Lorraine, KS. Marilyn taught kindergarten in the Concordia, Kansas schools for over 36 years. She was also a lifelong member of the Concordia Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Lydia (Schroeder) Rolfs; husband, Noel Nickel; siblings, Arlene, LaVerne, Melvin and Ron; nephew, David. Survivors: children, Sherry Roepke (Randy) of Tullohoma, TN, Lynnette Spencer (Jim) of Wichita,; sister, Lois Slabach of Clearwater; brother, Merle Rolfs of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren, Tara Gwynn (Tim) of Colorado Springs, CO, Krista Spencer of Wichita, Dr. Jarod Spencer of Hollywood, FL, Kellee and Gunnar Roepke of Tullohoma, TN, Matthew Roepke of Manhattan.
