Cline-Watson, Janice LaDean (Mock), lost a difficult 10-month battle with cancer, Friday, April 2, 2010, and is finally at peace. Visitation with the family, 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7; Service, 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 8, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Janice was born in Ottawa, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita North High School and attended Friends University. She was an administrative assistant at Boeing and for the City of Wichita Health Clinic. She was also a self-employed hairdresser and shop owner. Her true passion and vocation, however, was as a singer and musician. Janice had a long and successful local singing career. She performed at numerous venues throughout Wichita with a multitude of bands including her own. Singing and playing piano, making music and performing was her true joy. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Bly Mock, two husbands, Leroy “Chuck” Cline and Thomas R. Watson. She is survived by son, Darth Cline (Tish); sister, Lana Allen; five grandchildren, Israel, Chris, Shane, Chevy and Sage, and two great-grandchildren, Tarryn and Cooper. Memorial established with American Diabetes Association, 837 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211. Visitation with the family, 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 7, Downing Lahey Mortuary West

  5. I was sorry to hear that Jan passed away. We did not know this I ran across something online a long long time after. I notified my mother- Jan’s 2nd cousin they used to call each other.
