Jessica Lynne Schreiber

jessica schreiber
Jessica Lynne Schreiber, 19, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Jessica entered our world on February 6th, 2001. Although her life seemed short to so many, the impact she had on the people around her will forever be felt. Jessica spent her childhood traveling, playing sports, riding horses, and enjoying time with family and friends. As she got older, she loved spending time with her horse Drifter, watching baseball, attending concerts, and caring for animals. She spent countless hours cheering on her beloved Auburn Tigers, Carolina Panthers, and Wichita State Shocker Basketball. Jessica attended Wichita Northwest High School (Class of 2019) where she was involved with volleyball, Young Entrepreneurs, and attended every sporting event possible. Her time at school was spent socializing, taking selfies with friends, occasionally skipping classes to go play with puppies at Petland, and sometimes doing a little bit of schoolwork. Jessica had plans to attend the College of Central Florida to obtain a degree in psychology, and upon graduation, she planned to work as a dolphin trainer. Her love and compassion for animals was something to be admired. Jessica will forever be remembered for her bright smile, infectious laughter, beautiful eyes, fun personality, and for the impact she had on those who knew and loved her. Jessica was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cheryl Hiebert. She is survived by her parents, Jeffrey and Jennifer Schreiber; brother, Jake (Jordan Hall) Schreiber; grandparents, Lyle and Sandy Brecheisen, Kent and Lori Thomas; boyfriend, Josh Fraizer; and horses, Drifter and Vegas. Unfortunately, there’s no planned service at this time due to COVID-19, but a celebration of life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue, P.O. Box 14, Valley Center, KS 67147. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
