Sauers, Robert Dean “Bob”, 62, 32-year mail handler for the US Postal Service and former USAF SSgt and Vietnam veteran, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011. Rosary, 7 p.m., Thursday, July 21; Service, 10 a.m., Friday, July 22, both at Downing Lahey West. Preceded in death parents, Roy and Ethel (Vigil) Sauers. Survivors: wife, Maria; children, Lori Sauers (Jason) of Potwin, Shannon Sauers of El Dorado; stepchildren, Carmela and Mariana Oropesa of Wichita, Jesse Oropesa of Bethesda, MD; brother, Gary Sauers (Mary) of Wichita; grandchildren, Cristiano Morris, Alexandria and Isaac Ortega and Pauline Oropesa. Memorials to American Legion Post #136, 410 SE Louis Dr., Mulvane, KS 67110.

Bob and was a great help to both my husband and I when we worked @ the post office. He liked to talk about you Maria and the kids. He felt blessed that you came into his life. I know he will be in your heart forever.
