Helen Evelyn (Forsley) Stevens

Stevens, Helen Evelyn (Forsley), 98, passed away July 17, 2012. Helen was born in Williston, North Dakota on May 28, 1914 to Abraham and Martha Forsley. She grew up and worked in St. Paul, Minnesota until her marriage to Keeney Stevens from Wichita. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Keeney Stevens, her brothers and sisters and spouses, Victor and Julia Forsley, George Forsley, sisters, Freda and Frank Stevens, Rose and Jim Aboud and nephew, Jim Aboud, Jr. She will be remembered for her love of family and extraordinary hospitality at home with Keeney. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Martha Stevens, sons and their wives, Keith and Georgia Stevens and Clark and Darla Stevens, five grandchildren, David, Alexis, Hannah, Isaac, and Isabel Stevens, and two great grandchildren, Carter and Beckett Stevens. A private, family funeral and burial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established at St. George Orthodox Cathedral, St Marys Orthodox Church and Harry Hynes Hospice, 313 S Market, 67202. Services by Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
